What is a 501(c)(3) Organization

A 501(c)(3) charity is a type of nonprofit organization recognized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as exempt from federal income tax because it is organized and operated exclusively for one or more specified public service purposes. A key benefit is that contributions made to these organizations are generally tax-deductible for the donors.

The organizations we have listed are reputable and vetted. Here are the charity research resources we used.
